Do you think the majority of people are fighting against demons in their inner life? How frequently do you think people get to live their lives without interference (or maybe just very little) of that kind?
Practically speaking, just as humans aren’t infinite, demons aren’t infinite. That being said, with nearly 8 billion people in the world (and growing), it’s hard to imagine that there are enough demons to personally harass every last one of us—especially since many demons tend to team up on a person. From what the Bible tells us, we should assume there’s a limit on their numbers, though I don’t know what that limit might be. I suppose there could be 8 trillion demons out there, though that seems unlikely.
Perhaps there may be other ways for demons to grow their ranks outside of what the Bible says on the topic since (1) the Bible doesn’t say a whole lot and (2) God doesn’t really care about us knowing such information.
That being said, I’ve helped all different kinds of people find freedom from demons. Demons do not discriminate—they are willing to harass anyone and everyone. So, despite the logical practicalities above, I have come to find that a fair amount of people are dealing with demons and in need of help.
That being said, there’s not a demon behind every bush, orchestrating every last event, and Christians go insane when they act like that. If someone feels like they might be dealing with something spiritual, I just simply lead them to the Holy Spirit. If the Spirit happens to draw attention to a demon that needs to be addressed, then I deal with them at that time. Demon or not, the Holy Spirit’s inner healing is good for everyone.
