“WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?” I cried at the top of my lungs as I drove home from another difficult exorcism session. The situation was dire, and I needed answers. I desperately pleaded with God. I reminded him that I didn’t know what I was doing and that I was trying everything within my power to fix the situation, but the demons’ grasp on my participant was too strong. I needed help and I needed it now.
The help came, though it came slow—just as it always did. Day by day, the Holy Spirit gave me wisdom and guidance as the demons’ grasp was slowly chiseled away. Freedom came more and more with every small step.
A year or so later, my participant texted me. “I had a dream last night that felt so real. You were driving and crying out to God with great passion, asking him what you were supposed to do to help me find freedom.”
My mind was blown. The Holy Spirit had given them a glimpse into my own memory. Jesus had been faithful. God sees our meltdowns and hears our prayers. The Holy Spirit is right here with us, even when we are beside ourselves and feel like he isn’t coming through. What do you need his help with?
