“Stupid man. You ruin everything,” the demon said after a lengthy chat to discuss why it was there. Now that it had been uncovered, we knew what themes we needed to work on so we could get it out.
Occasionally, in deliverance ministry, you’ll bump into insults like this that strike as a compliment. I think of Gandalf’s words to Merry in The Lord of the Rings: “A sneer from [Saruman], Meriadoc, is a compliment, if you feel honoured by his concern.”
It is a joy to see the kingdom of darkness crumble in people’s lives through the inner healing ministry that is deliverance. It is this same joy that the disciples felt as they returned to Jesus from deliverance ministry, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
